Emergency vehicles. Allows law-enforcement vehicles to enjoy an exemption from most ordinary motor vehicle laws without having to sound sirens or display warning lights when (i) obtaining evidence of a speeding violation; (ii) responding to a suspected crime in progress when use of an audible or visual signal, or both, could reasonably result in the destruction of evidence or escape of a suspect; or (iii) surveying another vehicle or its occupants who are suspected of active involvement in a crime.
