Summary:
Public service companies; contracts with affiliated interests. Exempts from current law requiring Virginia State Corporation Commission (SCC) review of contracts between a public service company and any affiliate, telephone companies which obtain under 56-235.5 a Commission order approving an alternative form of regulation which is based on price regulation. However, this exemption does not apply if the annual amount expended or received by the telephone company under a contract or arrangement with an affiliated entity exceeds $500,000.
