Summary:
Virginia Retirement System; employees of the Department for the Visually Handicapped. Clarifies that employees of the Department are not "state employees" under VRS. However, the bill authorizes the Department to contribute five percent of the creditable compensation of those employees who elect to participate in a tax deferred retirement savings plan established under the United States Internal Revenue Code for nonprofit agencies.
