Summary:
Workers' compensation; medical examinations; second opinions. Grants a workers' compensation claimant the right to obtain a second opinion concerning any medical determination or opinion rendered at his employer's behest. Such an opinion would be paid for by the employer. Presently, whenever an employer schedules an independent medical examination to ascertain an employee-claimant's physical condition, the employee (at his own expense) can have a qualified physician or surgeon present.
