Study; watersheds of under 200 acres in size. Requests the Departments of Environmental Quality and Conservation and Recreation and the Chesapeake Bay Local Assistance Department to conduct a study of: (i) the number of watersheds of under 200 acres in size in which stormwater facilities are, or are likely to be, placed along with their geographic distribution; (ii) the character of the water quality and habitat in watersheds under 200 acres in size; (iii) the positive and negative water quality and habitat impacts of instream stormwater facilities in watersheds of under 200 acres in size; (iv) the creation of a uniform method for reporting impacts; and (v) the development of a methodology for use by the regulated community in assessing the character of the aquatic habitat in these small watersheds, particularly those with ephemeral water flow, to aid in determining the propriety of placing instream stormwater facilities in them. The agencies are requested to make every effort to seek grant moneys for the conduct of this study. Conduct of the study is contingent on receipt of funding through grants. This is a recommendation of the Joint Legislative Study on the Efficiency and Consistency of the Stormwater Management and Permitting Policies of the Commonwealth (SJR 44, 1994).
