Motor vehicle insurance. Authorizes motor vehicle insurance premium reductions for individuals under the age of 55 who have satisfactorily completed a driver improvement clinic approved by the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). Persons required by the courts or DMV to complete such courses are not eligible for the premium reduction. The bill further provides that persons who voluntarily complete driver improvement clinics shall be eligible to have five demerit points subtracted from their total accumulation of demerits or to receive a reduction in premium charges, either of which, but not both, may be awarded in a two-year period.
