Summary:
Nuisances; terrorized tenants. Creates a new chapter entitled "Abating Certain Criminal Activity in Residential Housing" to provide for expedited hearing of actions instituted by a Commonwealth's attorney, county or city attorney or community association to abate drug-related activity or violent criminal activity in residential housing. The bill also provides for expedited issuance of writs of possession to remove the nuisance. The bill is a recommendation of the Housing Study Commission.
