Juvenile sex offenders. Creates within the behavioral services unit of the Department of Youth and Family Services a sexual offender treatment program for juveniles. Any child committed to the Department for certain sex offenses, which would be felonies if committed by adults, must participate. Failure to successfully complete the program would be a factor to consider when determining whether to release the child from the Department's custody. Children placed on probation for a sex offense must also receive treatment under the program.
