Animal cruelty. Provides that it is a Class 6 felony to cause the death of a dog or cat by torturing or willfully inflicting inhumane injury or pain or cruelly beating, maiming or mutilating such animal regardless of whether the animal belongs to the person or another. This bill is substantially similar to SB 306.
